Best Chemical Exfoliating Products – Why You Should Use One
Gone are the days when exfoliating had to be using a product which pretty much resembled sand paper in a pot leaving your skin red raw!
Now we have more options of both physical and chemical exfoliators.
I’ve been researching to find you the best chemical exfoliating products so no matter what your skin type you should be able to find one in my list below to suit you.
What Is Exfoliation?
This is a process in your skincare regime whereby you remove the dead upper most surface skin cells, it’s an important process to do in order to keep your skin turnover healthy.
Exfoliating will also help your other product penetrate your skin better and get to where they need to go instead of sitting on top of a dead layer of skin.
What is Chemical Exfoliation?
As apposed to mechanical exfoliants which usually come in the form of scrubs chemical exfoliators use enzymes, Beta hydroxy Acids (BHA’s) or Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s).
Enzymes are a great form of exfoliation as they are a really gentle but effective way of resurfacing the skin to give it a healthy, radiant glow by using fruit or plant enzymes to digest dead skin cells.

AHA’s are glycolic acids of which mainly derive from sugar cane and are exceptional at breaking down dead skin cells.
BHA’s like salisylic acid derives from aspirin and powers through oil like nobodies business as-well as sloughing off dead skin for a smoother complexion, the perfect choice for oily, acne prone skin.

Chemical exfoliators are actually great for your skin as long as you stick to the right one for your skin type.
